And Suddenly It’s Spring

(1959)

Play
| Stars: Margaret Lockwood, Yolande Donlan, Frank Lawton

A dowdy shopkeeper glamorises her image and unintentionally dazzles an American naval officer

Sally Seymour is a drab, strait-laced business woman who, at the age of 35, realises that love has passed her by, a state of affairs for which she only has herself to blame. To make up for lost time, she sets about reforming and glamourising her image to attract a middle aged Lothario. Instead, she dazzles an American naval officer much younger than herself and unexpectedly finds herself genuinely falling in love for the first time.
