Mini Biography

Born in Bath, Somerset, Swinburne trained at RADA and was on the London stage from the age of 14, making her name in drawing-room comedies. She retired in the mid-70s. The first of her three husbands was actor Francis Lister, and the third actor Esmond Knight.
