Actress Julia Lockwood pictured this afternoon (Monday) when she presented prizes to the winners of the Waddington Peter Pan Competition at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London. The competition, which called on the children to fill in a questionnaire and complete a drawing on the Peter Pan theme, was divided into three age groups – five to seven; eight to ten and eleven to fourteen. As an experiment in mental therapy it is believed the idea has been successful. If this proves to be the case, other children’s hospital are expected to adopt the Waddington scheme. Child in the centre of the picture is another Julia – Julia Christian, 10, of Stamford, Lincolnshire. 24th June, 1963.

Said Miss Christie: ‘I’m suffering agonies of first-night nerves. I always do’. The play was a great success.
