I was fortunate enough to meet Julia Lockwood when I gave a speech in 2014 about her mother at the unveiling of a commemorative blue plaque at their former home in Kingston upon Thames. She was gracious and at ease, and an engaging speaker discussing her childhood at the house.
In her career, she appeared with her mother in The White Unicorn (1947) and Hungry Hill (1947), as well as spending several seasons on stage in her much-loved Peter Pan.
Read my biography of Julia Lockwood, see all her pictures and see her films on DVD and Blu-ray.
