Perhaps hoping to emulate the success of the comedy stage version of The 39 Steps that played for yonks at the Criterion Theatre, Bill Kenwright has produced a new version of The Lady Vanishes.

Reviews seem pretty good, describing a well-staged performance based on an obviously decent script.

Readers of this site will probably be most interested in the appearance of Juliet Mills, eldest daughter of Sir John Mills, and her husband Maxwell Caulfield. Here’s a nice little interview with the pair of them from the Palace Theatre in Westcliff on Sea:
