At the George V station on the Champs Elysées, workers discovered a tattered poster advertising Margaret Lockwood and Phyllis Calvert in the film L’Homme en Gris (The Man in Grey, 1943).
Other posters and paintings appear to date back to the beginnings of the Paris Metro a century ago.
