I really hope some of you will be able to make it along to the Lockwood season at BFI Southbank in January. The focus will be an extended run of The Lady Vanishes, surely one of her finest. You can see details of the whole season at www.bfi.org.uk and I’d be interested to read any comments you have on the choice of films.

As co-curator of the season, I’m doing an introduction to the season on Saturday 5th before the screening of Bedelia and would like it to be more of a discussion with the audience than just me talking, so it would be great if some real fans could come along and contribute your ideas. Later that day, Muriel Pavlow is going to come along and introduce Quiet Wedding so it’s a good opportunity to take in a Lockwood double bill!
