Showroom Cinema presents an extensive season of films in partnership with the British Film Institute (BFI). The season includes an extraordinary selection of films from the BFI National Archive’s rich feature film, documentary and television collections, as well as introductions from special guests. Themes covered include the working life of the miner, songs and galas, domestic and community life, coal’s place in the swinging 60s and the agonising battles against pit closures.
