Mini Biography

Having failed to become a professional actress, Muriel Box began as a continuity girl, started directing documentaries in the 40s and feature films from 1950. She was married to producer and screenwriter Sydney Box (1935-68) and Lord Gardiner, a former Lord Chancellor.
