Actress Julia Lockwood pictured this afternoon (Monday) when she presented prizes to the winners of the Waddington Peter Pan Competition at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London. The competition, which called on the children to fill in a questionnaire and complete a drawing on the Peter Pan theme, was divided into three age groups – five to seven; eight to ten and eleven to fourteen. As an experiment in mental therapy it is believed the idea has been successful. If this proves to be the case, other children’s hospital are expected to adopt the Waddington scheme. Child in the centre of the picture is another Julia – Julia Christian, 10, of Stamford, Lincolnshire. 24th June, 1963.

Goodnight – For film star Margaret Lockwood, it’s been a nice, restful day – except for the visit of the press photographers and the man who kept asking her questions. For daughter Margaret Julia, it’s been another day with Mummy at home. For Gainsborough Studios, it’s the last day of Margaret Lockwood’s brief holiday. Tomorrow, she must talk business with producers, directors and film-planners.
