Auburn-haired Phyllis Calvert, considered England’s most beautiful dramatic actress, makes her American film début in Rachel Field’s ’Time Out of Mind’, as filmed by Universal-International. The ’lend-lease’ beauty was recently starred with James Mason in J. Arthur Rank’s ’They Were Sisters’. ’Time Out of Mind’, produced and directed by Robert Siodmak, co-stars Miss Calvert with Robert Hutton and Ella Raines.
The premiere of the latest Kenneth More comedy Next to No Time will be held on the world’s greatest liner Queen Elizabeth at Southampton, and the film loads were taken by special train from Waterloo today. Much of the film is shot aboard the liner. Photo shows: Top to bottom: John Gregson, Phyllis Calvert and Janette Scott leave for the premiere.
