Women haggle meanly over a dead manโ€™s will

Pearl, middle-aged and prissy, comes back from her husbandโ€™s funeral to her dingy Putney rooms with her best friend, Di, a blowsy, vulgar, redhead. Fog comes down over the street, and Di must stay the night. The two women settle down to discussing the dead man, agreeing on two points only: he was hairy and he was large. They are joined by a lonely neighbour who is known as Little Freda.
