Incisive British actor of stage, screen and television, often of well-mannered, ineffectual types; latterly in more sophisticated roles

Mini Biography

Elliott trained briefly at RADA, then began acting in a German POW camp during the Second World War. The first of his two wives was actress Virginia McKenna. Died of AIDS.
