Christopher Lee
(1922–2015)
British actor (died aged 93) | Scott of the Antarctic (1948), Taste of Fear (1961), The Curse of Frankenstein (1957)
Born in London, the son of an army officer and the Contessa Carandini, Lee began work as a clerk and, after service in the Second World War, was one of many would-be actors signed to a seven-year contract to train in Rank’s Charm School. He played small roles until cast as Dracula in one of the early Hammer horrors.
