Mini Biography
Taylor was evacuated to Hollywood during World War II and began as a child star. Scored nine husbands including actor Michael Wilding (1952-57), producer Mike Todd (1957-58), singer Eddie Fisher (1959-64) and actor Richard Burton (1964-74 and 1975-76). She was made a dame in the New Year’s Honours of 1999.
