An orphan boy discovers that his mysterious new guardian is a smuggler

Young Francis Andrews, bullied at his school, receives news that his hated father has died.

Put into the care of his new guardian, Carlyon, the boy sets sail aboard a smuggling vessel.

Following a vicious flogging, Andrews turns in his fellow smugglers to the authorities...
