In films, Felix Aylmer mainly played schoolmasters, bankers, bishops and so on. Born in Corsham, Wiltshire, he was educated at Exeter College, Oxford and studied for the stage under Rosina Filippi. He began on stage in 1911 and was in films from 1932.
